Lot Essay

The Cuban artist Kcho's work aims to highlight the Socio-Political and economical situation in his native country and other troubled nations. 'Untitled' (1995) is an installation that specifically highlights the plight of boat refugees. Kcho uses the simple tools and rudimentry materials of this work as a metaphor for a country ravaged by economic and political sanctions and extreme poverty.
