A Chamberlain & Co. Worcester armorial blue-ground plate
painted with a coat of arms, crest, supporters and motto below a Baron's coronet within a gilt band of flowerheads below sprays of roses and thistles linked with shamrocks, with a shaped rims, painted puce mark, circa 1835 (slight wear) -- 23.2cm. diam.

Lot Essay

The arms are those of Ward, Baron Dudley.

The service from which the above lot is taken was made for the 11th Baron, who succeeded his father, the Reverend William Humble Ward, in 1835, he was created Earl of Dudley in 1860.
