GENERAL GEORGE A. CUSTER'S REUNION RIBBON
George Custer received this commemorative ribbon at the 1871 reunion of the Society of the Army of the Potomac. The blue cloth ribbon bears a gilt depiction of a war medal and is accompanied by a letter of provenance by Dr. Lawrence Frost. Frost purchased the Custer farmhouse in Monroe, Michigan, where he found a number of Custer's personal possessions which had been stored in the attic and never retrieved by Custer or his widow.--10 x 2 in.
