A joined coverlet of ivory satin embroidered in brightly coloured floss silks with a central roundel with a pelican pecking its breast to feed its young, bordered with a foliate garland, the field sprigged with various sprays of flowers and fruit including roses, carnations and pansies, trimmed with salmon pink, green, ivory and yellow silk fringed braid--80 x 96in.
