Lot Essay

Originally designed as a travelling-arm machine, this example still has the socket for a long extension arm, left in place to conceal the fixing holes. The tone-arm back-bracket was substituted at an early date (possibly at the factory, as the tone-arm rendered existing stocks of travelling-arm machines obsolete very quickly).
