signed on top of the limb Nachet et Fils à Paris 17 rue St. Severin, in lacquered and oxidised brass, the monocular body-tube with four objectives, replaceable by a separate binocular body with detachable binocular tube pivoted at the base with screw inter-ocular adjustment, two eyepieces, one objective and one (of two) prisms, the stand with coarse and fine focussing, concave mirror and two-pillar base on shaped horseshoe-type base -- 13¼in. (33.5cm.) high, late 19th century, in a wood cabinet with separate leather-covered case for the binocular body (2)
