RUDYARD KIPLING (1865-1936)
A one-page typed autograph letter signed ("Rudyard Kipling") to H. Flather Esq, Argus South African Newspapers Ltd, 72/78 Fleet Street, London E.C.4, on Bateman's Burwash Sussex headed paper, 4 June 1932. (general paper discolouration, minor nicks to edges).
He thanks him for the "note about the blatjoen" and expresses interest in receiving it. Having been away for a few months, he is unable to arrange a time of meeting in the immediate future and suggests that Flather post it to him. He concludes: "I don't see the Argus or Times much these days; but I believe they are holding their own against -- undesirable tendencies".
