an early Victorian silver-gilt presentation cup and cover with cast decoration, the squat circular bowl on a knopped pedestal foot with three handles, decorated all-over with chased formal scrollwork, borders of fluting and stiff leaves and textured matting, the handles and finial each in the form of a putto playing musical instruments and supporting a crown, respectively, inscribed on one side with the following inscription within a scroll cartouche; "to the Hon. Albert Victor Lyttleton from his godmother Victoria R. 2nd Aug 1844" by Robert Garrard, 1844 - 33.5cm high, 42.5oz.
