painted to the exterior in underglaze blue, red and green enamels with carp swimming among aquatic weeds, the interior in underglaze blue with a roundel of a writhing dragon among cloud scrolls -- 4in. (10.2cms) diam, underglaze blue Wanli six character mark and of the period, (slight restoration to rim).
