A harlequin pair of French gilt-brass and champlevé enamel striking carriage clocks
nos.5084 & 3267. late 19th century
Each with pillars case with reeded columns, the cornices and bases decorated with bands of foliate polychrome enamel, with conforming masks to the off-white enamel dials, one with Roman numerals and the other Arabic, both with blued moon hands, each with twin barrel movement with silvered platform to bimetallic balance with lever escapement and strike on gong, one with repeat, the backplates numbered respectively 5084 and 3267
