A French gilt and silvered brass striking and repeating carriage clock

The anglaise riche case with columns modelled as stylised palm trees, the side panels cast in relief with Middle Eastern figures, with two-tone gilt and bronze-patinated ornament, one side showing figures before an Eastern city with the sun shining down, the other two men shaking hands with camels and figures in the background, the dial mask cast with conforming scenes around a well, with white enamel Roman chapter disc (Arabic five minutes behind bezel), blued hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the cut bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat on gong to backplate stamped for Achille Brocot and numbered 296
