in the manner of Michel Cresson, the padded back, arms, seat and squab cushion upholstered in cream silk damask, the shaped chanelled foliate-carved top-rail, armrests and apron each with a central cartouche of a bulb issuing flowers and flanked by conforming cartouches, the cabriole legs headed by acanthus sprays terminating in scroll feet, the underside re-supported, with a paper label inscribed in ink A.8/Canape d'ore L XV SC.X42
