The case with arched top supported on tapering columns resting on square section plinths with flowerhead bosses, on rectangular base with canted angles, applied to the front with a bow and torch mount, on milled bun feet, the white enamel Roman dial signed à Paris (chips to winding holes), with blued moon hands, the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell, with knife-edge suspension to the gridiron pendulum; composite, parts early 19th century; on ebonised plinth and under glass dome
