The case with brass handle to the bell top, later pineapple finials to the corners, later caryatid mounts to the front angles, later relief cast sound frets to the sides, on bracket feet, the dial with silvered strike/silent ring in the arch (strike/silent lacking), later foliate spandrels and later silvered chapter ring, matted centre with date aperture, now signed on a recessed silvered plaque Spencer & Perkins Londres and with silvered arch below inscribed 44 Snow Hill London, later hands, the twin gut fusee movement with re-converted verge escapement and strike on bell, trip repeat, the backplate engraved with foliate scrolls and signed Spencer & Perkins Londres; movement and dial associated to case, case with alterations and basically last quarter 18th century
