The case with carved eagle to the top and foliate carved urn finials to the chamfered angles, with foliate scrolls below, the plinth and cornice decorated with bands of geometric inlay, with door for single cuckoo above the ebonised chapter ring with replaced Gothic numerals, with turned walnut centre and carved bone hands, the twin fusee movement with wooden frame, countwheel strike on gong to the backdoor, the automaton cuckoo with twin bellows, with trip to a 6in.(15cm.) musical pinned cylinder movement in the base, also with manual release to the side
