The case with hood with rosette caps to the swan-neck pediment, outset columns, the panelled trunk door with wavy arch top and flanked by three-quarter pilasters, with chamfered angles to the panelled plinth raised on bracket feet, the brass cut away dial (restored) applied with a silvered chapter ring signed Thomas Lister Luddenden, with minute track between Roman and Arabic chapters, cherub mask and foliate spandrels, the matted centre with foliate engraving and ringed winding holes, with penny moon and age of moon disc above date aperture, later hands, the arch now applied with an associated silvered convex disc inscribed TEMPEST FUGIT (sic), the four pillar movement with breakarch plates, with anchor escapement and internal countwheel strike on bell; possibly associated
