Gift of Leslie Linder to Hope Cohen. The pencil sketches were tipped-in to this copy by Leslie Linder himself. He also made the card folder. A note in his hand, laid down on the rear pastedown, reads: "Original pencil sketches drawn by Beatrix Potter about 1897, to illustrate the rhyme:- 'Tingle dingle dousy Ding dong bell! Laugh little mouse! Pussy's in the well!['] (From her private portfolios at Castle Cottage, Sawrey). Leslie Linder 1. 1. 65."
