signed on the base Eclipse Ross London, with rack and pinion coarse focusing, double nose-piece by R. & J. Beck, mechanical stage, sub-stage condenser with iris diaphragm and swivel mirror, the body-tube located on a compass joint over the short pillar mounting and base, engraved 5528, with two eyepieces and one objective, in mahogany carrying case with leather handle -- 13in. (33cm.) high
