A finely engineered 1/5th scale model of the Atkinson Patent Cycle single cylinder gas engine originally built by The British Gas Engineering Co. Ltd,
and modelled by A. Walshaw, No. 388, with water jacketed cylinder 2.3/8in. bore x 6in. stroke, barrelled connecting rod with marine type big end bearing connected to radial links mounted on a shaft fixed at the top of the frames, in turn connected to the 'crankshaft' by a drop link, the 'crankshaft' with two bearings supported in the frames with separate cam and lever operated inlet and exhaust valves and make and break, twin curved spoked flywheels and starter pulley, hot tube and spark ignition systems, gas pipework and regulator valve and other details, finished in blue with white lining, red and polished brightwork, wooden bed on terracotta and white tiled floor with hand railings and display base -- 26 x 31½in. (66 x 80cm.). Perspex cover.
