A Louis XIV carved and décapé frame, with foliate outer edge; outer scotia; the corners of the central ogee moulding with strapwork, flower-heads and scrolling foliage on cross-hatched ground; incised reposes; recessed sanded band; the ovolo moulding at inner edge with running leaf and strapwork pattern on cross-hatched ground; cavetto sight edge - 19½ x 16 x 4¼ in. (49.5 x 40.6 x 10.8 cm.)
