The rectangular case with twisted ribbon and flowerhead edge above a hinged fall-front enclosing two compartmentalized cedar-lined humidifying drawers, the rocaille-chased handle and pierced escutcheon above a gadrooned edge, swivelling on an associated tripod base with fluted and acanthus-carved baluster stem, on splayed acanthus-carved legs centered by a shell with foliate-carved feet and leather casters, the top section adapted, the base with some later carving, adapted to form a humidor
