Sarah I. Eldridge, Sag Harbor, NY, dated 1819
Worked in yellow, blue, black, cream and green silk threads on a linen ground in ten alphabetical and numerical registers above a house flanked by tall trees and flowers issuing from baskets with perched birds over a horizontal verse inscribed, "Wrought by Sarah I. Eldredge in the 15th year of her age/Happy the child whose green unpracticed years/The guiding hand of parents fondness rears", the whole enclosed by a chain border above "Sagharbor July 30th 1819"
