The broken swan's-neck pediment flanked by paired opposing scrolls above an arched glazed door opening to a white-painted dial face with an Arabic chapter ring centering a sweep seconds calendar dial with "S.HOADLEY PLYMOUTH" enclosed by gilt scrolled spandrels and surmounted by similar decoration centering a vase issuing berries and leaves in green and red all flanked by shaped sides over a waisted case fitted with an arched door above a flared molding over a box-base with shaped skirt, on French feet, all painted in brown and red to simulate mahogany
