Enamelled with small birds and butterflies in the knarled branches of a peony bush bearing large, shaded pink blooms, a small sparrow with a blue butterfly in its beak, rockwork below with lilies and daisies growing alongside small sacred fungus and bamboo, all below a yellow-ground collar repeated on the cover around further pink peony, the knop a Buddhist lion clambering on rocks
