Five notes: opulent, delicious, magnificent at the Overton tasting in 1979. A memorable "Rserve du chteau" bottle at an equally memorable dinner at the Dolder Grand Hotel in Zurich to celebrate the publication of the German edition of The Great Vintage Wine Book: lovely colour, mahogany edge; overripe gibier bouquet, like an old cedar cigarbox, or singed hair.
