Trap after Schlegel. (Some slight spotting, title-page with repair along lower margin, a few short tears to lower margins). Contemporary morocco-backed boards (extremities rubbed with some small stains and areas of loss).
One of the largest monographs on the species. Schlegel made the drawings from specimens in the Amsterdam zoo, which was in the charge of Westerman. The lithographs were printed by the noted Leiden printer, P.W.M. Trap, and the work was published by the Dutch Royal Zoological Society, Natura Artis Magistra.
