Santa Maria della Salute, Venice, with the entrance to the Grand Canal and the Bacino beyond

In a letter dated Decemeber 15, 1998, Dott. Dario Succi confirms that the present painting is a an autoghraph version of Albotto's painting in the Museo e Gallerie Nazionale de Capodimonte, Naples (see D. Succi, Marieschi, tra Canaletto e Guardi, 1989, p. 174, fig. 203). He dates the painting to circa 1745-48.
