extensively inscribed with topographical details and with a key giving further details in French, pen and brown ink and watercolour on paper glued down on linen, the upper and lower edges attached to wooden hinges for hanging
78 x 100 cm.; and a collection of printed maps including Bernard Jaillot's Nouveau Plan de la Ville et Fauxbourgs de Paris, 1717, and his Les Environs de Paris, 1722; two maps of Hungary by Johann Baptist Homann and by another hand; a map of Germany by Johann Walch, 1813; a map of the Black Sea and its surroundings by J.C. Rhode, 1785; a bird's eye view with a Prospect der Furst Marggraf Baaden Durlach Neuerbauten Residenz Statt Carolsruhe; and two architectural prints each with four views of the Casa de Correzione, Milan, all execept for the map of the Black Sea laid down on linen and attached to wooden hinges for hanging (10)
