A Dutch walnut and burr walnut automaton longcase clock

The rectangular canted plinth on later claw feet, below a rectangular arched trunk door with a glazed lenticle with pierced brass mount depicting Father Time, the arched hood with later sound frets to the sides and top, surmounted by an acanthus and rockwork clasp, the silvered Roman dial with matted centre signed on pierced scrollling plaques Cornelis de Ruyge/Amsterdam with later black painted steel hands, with subsidiary seconds ring, date aperture and aperture for the days of the week with corresponding deities, surmounted by a rolling moonphase to the arch with automaton figure of Father Time, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and Dutch strike on two bells, caddy-top finials, hood door and seconds hand missing, damages, restorations and alterations
