a modern silver-gilt Freedom casket of bevelled oblong form with a domed cover, borders of oak leaf and acorn motifs and ornate bracket feet, applied with the arms of the Worshipful Company of Salters and inscribed, "Presented to the Right Hon. Stanley Baldwin* on his admission to the Honorary Freedom and Livery of the Worshipful Company of Salters Dec. 8th 1927", (lined) by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co, 1927 - 29cm long x 15cm high x 18cm wide.
* Bladwin of Bewdley, 1st Earl, (Stanley Baldwin) 1867-1947, Conservative Prime Minister 1923-9 and 1935-7. His handling of the crisis over Edward VIII's proposed marriage ended with the King's abdication.
