with gilt-metal mounts, the cover painted with a rustic scene of a family gathered around a mother nursing her child, within a border of white and ruby 'jewels', the base with similar 'jewelled' band, gilt Svres style mark, circa 1880 (some jewelling missing, mark to top surface of cover) -- 18cm. wide
