The bearded figure well cast seated in lalitasana atop a recumbent elephant with a lotus stem coiled around its trunk and its body adorned with beaded trappings hung with a bell, the bodhisattva wearing priest's robes and a narrow fillet around his head, his body inclined forward as he studies the unrolled scroll held in his hands, with fine splashes of gold allover reserved against the olive-brown patina
