Worked on the front and back in couched gold threads with a square insignia of a bird, possibly a silver pheasant, surrounded by six roundels of Buddhistic lions with their cubs, interspersed with various forms of shou characters throughout, all reserved on a black ground, above the terrestrial diagram and lishui stripe at the hem, the pale blue cuffs of the sleeves decorated with bands of dragons
