The slender, rectangular inro designed on one side with Toba Sojo on a mule and on the other with a peacock, the robes of the poet red lacquer with applied aogai to create a checkerboard pattern, his hat gold lacquer and the mule silver simulating pewter, the peacock gold lacquer with open feathers with aogai eyes, the grounds gold lacquer repeated on the outsides of the inner cases, the wells red lacquer; fitted with an ivory bead netsuke inlaid in colored ivory with an insect and wisteria and with an ivory netsuke of Daikoku and Ebisu in a parody of Choryo and Kosekiko, signed Masatsugu
