The case with arched top supported to each side by crouching classical male figures, the dial flanked by relief cast panels of classical maidens and framed by a cast bronze lion pelt, on stepped and moulded base with foliate cast feet, black marble chapter ring with gilt incised Roman chapters and recessed brass centre, steel hands, twin barrel movement with strike on gong
