The wide-bodied case with swan neck pediment to the hood, outset spiral-twist columns and conforming pilasters to the door, short trunk door with panel below, flanked by spiral-twist three-quarter columns, arched and recessed panel to the plinth raised on bracket feet, the re-painted 14in. dial with spandrels depicting houses and castles and scene to the arch of cows drinking in a river, subsidiary seconds ring and calendar arch to the centre, pierced brass hands, signed J. REECE MACHYNLLETH, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; case faded
