Lot Essay

Compare No 64, 'Embroidery in the Burrell Collection' page 93, which cites an identical embroidery in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, bearing the arms of the Dyers' Company. The present example varies in some small details but is obviously worked from the same source. The quality appears to be comparable.
