A FRENCH JOINED AND PIECED PANEL OF GREEN SILK
Circa 1735-40, Lyons, possibly Revel
Woven with a self-coloured diamond lattice ground and brocaded in coloured silks with out-sized arrangements of fruit and flowers, with matching smaller length, slight staining
43 in. x 59 in. (109 cm. x 150 cm.);
and another similar pieced length woven and brocaded in coloured silks and metal threads with arrangements of exotic flowers, pine cone shaped foliage and flourishes, circa 1730, French, Lyons, slight surface wear
21 in. x 49 in. (53 cm. x 124 cm.)
