A FRENCH GROS AND PETIT POINT NEEDLEWORK CUSHION

In wool and silk, depicting within a C-scrolled cartouche a peasant maiden bringing a pot to a copper or iron-smith seated and working another copper pot, beside him a tree and further metalwork, within foliate scrolls, with later yellow fringing and green cotton backing, possibly previously an upholstery panel of a chair
