A PAIR OF FLEMISH VERDURE TAPESTRY BORDER FRAGMENTS
17th early 18th Century
Woven in wools, each depicting a column of flowers within strapwork and vases of flowers, the centre with a parrot perched on a vase and the top with an upturned capital, within a yellow and later blue outer slip, reweaving and patching, with restored cut to the centre of one panel and the top and bottom yellow slips later, minor variations in size
