Crossbanded overall and inlaid with ebony and boxwood lines, the rectangular top above the tambour top enclosing six small drawers and five pigeon-holes above a recess and a ratcheted slide, above a further slide to each side and two frieze drawers, on square tapering legs, the underside of the hinged writing-slide inscribed 'H.P.T29e'
