Lot Essay
The form of this richly-figured rosewood table relates to the bedroom apartment 'deception' tables supplied in 1810 for Parlington Hall, Aberford by Gillows (see C. Gilbert, Furniture at Temple Newsam House and Lotherton Hall, London, 1978, vol. II, p. 379, no. 498).
