Inlaid overall with fruitwood and ebonised lines and banded with foliage, the moulded rectangular top inlaid with a central oval with scrolling flowers and foliage surrounding three birds, the surrounding spandrels each with a bird perched on flowers, above two short drawers each with a shaped panel with flowers and foliage, and two long graduated drawers with conforming panels additionally inlaid with a pair of birds, the sides each with a bird perched among flowers in an urn, on later bracket feet, restorations and some of the bandings to the top replaced in elm, later backboards
