with flying, landing and control wires, 345hp Rolls-Royce Eagle VIII liquid cooled engines with radiators, four bladed propellers, finished in red and white stripes and chevrons to the fuselage and grey wings and tailplane with serial number N4510 and roundels (missing forward machine gun and starboard exhaust) -- Wing Span 15in. (40cm.)

Lot Essay

The F2A was the best known of the Felixstowe flying boats used on North Sea patrols and was named after the Royal Navy station where it was evolved. Some fifty-three Felixstowes were in service with the RAF at the end of the First World War and some stayed in service for a few years longer.
