Lot Essay

An interesting group of Frech First World War aeroplanes as well as a a German Albatross, apparently in French colours and therefore presumably captured. Other planes included in the group are a "Horace Farman (combining the characterisics of the Nervy and Maurice Farman types); a Caudron G4 or G6 twin engine biplane; two Nieuport "vee strutter" scouts; one which is possibly a Caudron twin engined biplane; and a Voisin two seater, single engined biplane.
