An 8 inch (20.3cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve delicately coloured printed paper gores and two polar calottes, the equator graduated in degrees, further labelled 1-36, the oceans showing trade winds, ocean currents, steamship routes with ports, cable and telegraph lines, the continents with a few nation states delicately coloured in green, showing rivers, mountains, caravan routes and the Great Wall of China (old surface abrasions, hole to Florida, larger hole to the Netherlands), on wire support (loose) to simple turned ebonised column and plinth base
