Tapering rectangular, with applied gold borders, one side set with glazed portrait miniature, the other with a painting of the altar of love against foil, the cover inscribed SOUVENIR D'AMITIE, the interior fitted with gold scissors and an ivory tablet, marked on bezel with charge and discharge of Henri Clavel; warden's and maker's marks illegible
