Rectangular of upright form, the chalcedony body on stepped foot, the front inset with lapis-lazuli holding a circular clock-face of translucent white guilloché enamel over rayed ground, with Arabic numerals and inscribed 'Faberge', within rose-cut diamond bezel, further inset with nephrite carved with laurel and set with rose-cut diamond ribbon-ties, and two cushion-cut diamonds with carved petal mounts, the shaped top inset with lapis lazuli, the silver-gilt hinged back opening to reveal the works and key, marked in back and door
