Lot Essay

The upper beam is inscribed on one side with parts of an invocation calling God to bless the twelve Imams; the other side has parts of Shi'a verses in Persian.
The lower beam has parts of an inscription indicating that it comes from the shrine of a certain learned Imam. No name is given but many adjectival titles. The other face is inscribed:
"The work of Ustad (master) Yazdan Bakhsh b. marhum (the late) Ustad Sa'id Amir Khiya al-Taghani al-Qazvini in [the month of] jumada al-awwal ...". Unfortunately the year was written on the next beam around the corner.
