On short foot, the white interior with a very elegant black kufic inverted inscription, a small black dot in the centre, the exterior plain white, slight restorations, a few small insets from similar bowls

Lot Essay

The inscription, about a quarter of which has been erroneously restored, originally translated "Generosity is the disposition of the dwellers of paradise", a very suitable aphorism for such a large bowl.
